Is health care sharing a reasonable fit?

OneShare is different from insurance. It may be worth exploring when the faith commitment and sharing rules match what you want.

You want year-round access

Membership enrollment is available outside the ACA open-enrollment calendar. No qualifying life event is required.

You are self-employed or between plans

Programs are available for individuals and families who need another way to manage eligible medical expenses.

You share the ministry's beliefs

All members must agree to OneShare's Statement of Beliefs and understand that sharing is voluntary, not guaranteed.

Three ways to structure your membership

The right choice depends on whether you want help with routine visits or mainly want sharing eligibility for larger, unexpected events.

How OneShare works

Members contribute monthly. OneShare facilitates the sharing of eligible medical bills among the membership.

1

Choose a membership program

Review the Monthly Contribution, Individual Sharing Amount, limits, services, and waiting periods.

2

Use an accommodating provider

Present your member ID card. First Health Network providers can submit medical bills to OneShare.

3

Eligible bills are considered for sharing

OneShare determines sharing eligibility and sends an Explanation of Sharing.

Useful services beyond a major medical event

Every program includes practical member resources. Some are sharing features; others are separate discount or virtual-care services.

24

Virtual Urgent Care

Board-certified providers are available 24/7/365 through Clever Health for non-emergency concerns, with a $0 Visit Fee and 100% sharing.

Rx

Prescription savings

Compare prices through Rx Valet, Clever Rx, and WellCard Savings. Rx Valet includes an Acute Medication Program for selected prescriptions.

+

Provider support

Use the First Health provider locator before scheduling. Network providers generally mean faster processing and less balance-billing risk.

M

Mental wellness

Clever Health provides mental-wellness tools, peer support, and access to licensed professionals. Pricing varies by service.

Clever Health, Rx Valet, Clever Rx, and WellCard Savings are separate services and are not owned or operated by OneShare Health. Availability, pricing, formularies, and discounts vary by service and state. Discount services are not insurance.

What does the ISA mean?

The Individual Sharing Amount is the amount a member is responsible for before remaining eligible expenses from an incident may be shared. This example from the Member Welcome Kit illustrates a Classic membership with a $5,000 ISA.

Eligible expenses submitted$46,200 Member's selected ISA− $5,000 Remaining amount considered for sharing$41,200

Illustration only. Actual sharing depends on the Membership Guidelines, waiting periods, eligibility, program limits, provider pricing, and the facts of the medical event. It is not a promise of payment.

Questions before enrolling

Is OneShare Health insurance?

No. OneShare Health is a religious Health Care Sharing Ministry. Members voluntarily share eligible medical expenses, and no payment is guaranteed.

Can I enroll whenever I need it?

OneShare accepts new members throughout the year in eligible states. Active-date rules and state restrictions apply.

Can I see my current doctor?

Members have access to the First Health Network and may use accommodating providers outside it. Confirm your provider before joining because provider participation, negotiated pricing, and balance-billing risk can vary.

What happens with pre-existing conditions?

Waiting periods and sharing limits apply. Review the current program guidelines and Eligible Sharing Descriptions and Limits before enrolling.

Where can Ethan assist with enrollment?

This page currently accepts requests from Georgia, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, and Virginia. Florida residents must enroll directly with OneShare Health rather than through a third-party producer.
